LONDON, UK. 30th September, 2010. Goodman Masson, the largest Independent Financial Recruitment business in the UK, records their highest ever temp numbers.

 

Goodman Masson finished Q3 2010 on their highest ever temps out. Starting the year on 135, at the end of September there were 251 Finance temps working for them across the Commerce and Financial Services markets. Gross Margin for the quarter was £2.76m with a 15% profit return, 62% up on the same period last year. Read More

LONDON, UK. Today 20th August, 2010. Goodman Masson Breaks Superman World Record

 

Today 20th August, 2010 Goodman Masson, the UK’s largest independent financial recruitment company, broke the World Record for the largest number of people dressed as Superman.

 

To help raise money for charity Help for Heroes, 180 men, women and children gathered at Charterhouse Square in the City to break the World Record wearing the superhero’s renowned blue jump suit, red shoes and red cape. Employees of Goodman Masson together with their friends and family took part in the event before taking to the streets around the City to collect money for Britain’s Armed Forces. A staggering £7133 was raised from the day which will help to provide better facilities for wounded British servicemen and women. Read More

In Q2 2010 Goodman Masson delivered £1,372,000 more Gross Margin than in Q2 2009 closing off the quarter on £2,865,000. July witnessed a one million pound month for the first time in the company’s history, a Q2 net profit percentage of 18% and a 34% growth from Q1 Gross Margin. Read More

LONDON, UK – 19th MAY, 2010. Goodman Masson, the largest Independent Financial Recruitment business in the UK, promotes Chris Porges to Director of their Temporary and Contract business.

When Chris joined Goodman Masson in October last year his brief was to build a market leading Finance temp & contract business across the Commerce and Financial Services markets. When you look at the financial performance this year and the increase in temp numbers you start to realise that is exactly what has started to happen.

Goodman Masson’s temp business entered January 2010 on 163 temps with an average weekly temp profit of £38,000. Today Chris and his team have taken this to 205 Finance temps with a weekly temp profit of £60,000, a market leading performance.

The issue of outsourcing internal audit to the organisation’s existing external auditors was again under scrutiny today, this time as senior internal auditors debated the topic with a panel of experts representing the internal audit profession, institutional shareholders, corporate governance academics and outsourced internal audit providers.

The debate, hosted by internal audit and finance recruitment firm, Goodman Masson, produced a clear outcome amongst internal auditors: outsourcing internal audit to the incumbent external auditors creates a conflict of interest which should be avoided. Read More
