Working day
After Guy Hayward joined the business he built a strong management team, this meant that I have had to find new ways of making a contribution to the company , and I am as busy as ever. I work closely with Guy to make sure the initiatives that I am working on contribute to the strategy of making us the number 1 company to work for in London.
We have brought a number of leading industry figures to address our clients culminating in securing Danny Alexander, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury to address 200 CFO’s from across industry, banking and financial services in June 2011. I spend time searching for the right speakers, and ensuring that we generate the right audience.
After the Lehmans crash we introduced a series of workshops to help FD’s who had lost their jobs. I run these regularly and also spend time one on one trying to help people. I love doing it. It is great to help people who have helped us build Goodman Masson.
Goodman Masson initiated a CIMA bursary scheme in May 2011 to support part qualified accountants who lack financial support to complete their studies. A lot of detailed work went into putting it together, included finding an independent panel of judges to award the bursaries and a ground breaking advertising campaign
We are working on some exciting new schemes that will continue to break ground in the industry and build Goodman Masson’s brand.
It is a great privilege to be a part of Goodman Masson and very fortunate to get up every morning looking forward to what the day holds.
Downtime
I am a Dad. I love football, Leeds United forever! I am a keen cyclist and a regular in the gym. I‘m preparing myself for an arduous charity bike ride in November 2011. I’m a trustee of a charity for kids with learning difficulties and I enjoy reading about history and current affairs.
