Working For Goodman Masson - The Experience
We created 'The Experience' as the framework to reach what we set out to achieve... to be widely recognised as the number one business to work for in London. Why? It helped form our company strategy, our brand development and our employee experience.
‘The Experience’ has been adopted internally as the brand of working here, it is the name of our quarterly newsletter, the name of our Intranet, our employee guide is called ‘The Experience: Shaping Your Career’ and our monthly award winners receive vouchers to be redeemed on our ‘Experience Points’ website.
‘The Experience’ is a term that is part of our internal language and used by everyone who works here.
Our people are at the very top of Guy’s daily agenda. Above all else he believes that our people come first. Every day the top of Guy’s ‘to do’ list sits the question on how to maintain and improve the employee experience. Guy holds the view that all the little things make a difference in how people feel about the organisation they work for and that is why providing the environment for people to build their careers at the same time as having fun is so important to our objectives.
‘The Experience’ team meets every month to discuss the experience of working here. 12-15 employees meet to discuss a whole range of topics…from health & well being to reward & recognition and from career development to our involvement in the local community.
Guy’s commitment to the team is to action three ideas a month that are raised from these meetings. One example and we’re not sure as a recruitment business this is really on the agenda; we built a 'Chill-Out' floor! This area hosts table football, a Wii, iPod docking stations, vending machines, a dart board, giant Jenga and Connect 4, 42” plasma screens for MTV and Sky Sports…there’s even hair straightners and a trouser press.
If you would like to speak to Guy about a career at Goodman Masson, please contact him directly. He would love to hear from you!
