About the Role:
An industry renowned, dedicated Cyber Security Intelligence firm are currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to come in and help build out their growing Security Intelligence Centre at their brand new site in Hampshire. This Cyber Security Analyst will be expected to perform advanced threat investigations, participating in malware analysis, reverse engineering and incident response, as well as take part in the monitoring and triage of various SIEM, IDS/IPS and Network Access Control toolsets.


Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, tune and configure various SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanning, Network Access Controls toolsets.
• Act as a lead in Incident Response activities, investigating all network intrusions to find out the extent of the breach and recommending how to contain it.
• Act as a technical escalation point to more junior members of the team, providing leadership and mentoring when required.


Key Skills & Requirements:
• Knowledge of one or more of the following security monitoring tools: Splunk, Arcsight, McAfee ESM, QRadar, AlienVault, Huntsman, Darktrace, RSA Security Analytics.
• Experience performing incident response activities, acting as the lead and technical escalation point.
• Mentoring and leading more junior members of the team.
• Knowledge of malware analysis, reverse engineering, attack vectors, threat intelligence, threat hunting.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a SOC environment.
