My client is a well known boutique banking organisation that offers a combination of services including corporate, retail and private banking products. Following an internal restructure, they require an ambitious Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join the team and aid with their expansion plans and to manage MI and Financial Planning within their Finance department.

The core function of this role is the production of regular Management Information for the bank. As a Finance Business Partner the individual will act as a key contact to the strategic business units Treasury, Corporate Banking and Private Banking and will have to be confident in facing off the business units and support functions on a regular basis for general and ad hoc queries. Management information will be both financial and non-financial and requires strong analytical thinking. The role will furthermore require the individual to control the forecasting process of the bank.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a background in management accounting in the banking environment both on revenue and cost side with proven experience in adding value to existing reporting. The candidate will be expected to work successfully in a team environment, and possess good communication skills with the confidence to deal with senior management on a one to one basis. Systems knowledge and technical know-how is a pre-requisite which means the candidate is required to have a strong background in MI systems and ideally experienced in Hyperion (in particular Hyperion Financial Planning)/ Smartview/ Essbase. Strong organisational and analytical skills will be required to be successful in this role.
