Job description
My client is a 5 person West End based Hedge Fund. The business, was started and is owned privately and has been going for 6 years. The fund has had its ups and downs but finally seems to have become stable and looking to move onwards.
The role of the candidate is sales support with some office manager/PA duties. The business is expanding and my client envisages that the candidate would be able to develop the bits they are good at and enjoy.
The critical requirements are; being well organised (road-shows/itineraries) and numeracy (strong excel skills – accounting experience would be useful) for the reconciliations.
Day to day the successful candidate would be responsible for:
* Organising road shows – Itineraries - confirming meetings with the investors, liaising with the fund management team regarding presentations etc. flights, hotels, restaurants.
* Investor reconciliation. This requires numeracy (and ideally good excel skills so improvements can be made to current spreadsheets to give more management information).
* Client reporting
* Maintaining the CRM (ACT) system – maintaining email lists for each product, keeping records current
* Liaising with the fund managers.
* PA work, from time to time there will be stationary to be ordered, booking meeting rooms, there will be some accounting, compliance, IT liaison, Board papers 2x a year etc.
The successful candidate will come from a strong Financial Services background and be prepared to get involved in more analytical tasks around supporting the sales traders as well as being a Personal assistant/ office manager.
