Job description
A local authority are looking for an Interim Finance Director to lead a large finance function through a period of change.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running a function of nearly 200 staff and therefore will need to be an experienced section 151 officer with experience in either a county council, metropolitan district, or unitary authority.
They will be responsible for running two particular additional programmes of work. The first will be a shared services programme and the second, the implementation and delivery of a new IT Finance System.
The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant, have substantial local authority experience and experience of leading change whilst operating as the Chief Financial Officer.Goodman Masson is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
