A Senior Internal Auditor position has become available with an instantly recongnisable, global US listed business. The business has a truly global presence and has continued to grow despite tough trading conditions.
The role sits in the European Internal Audit team and reports to the European Internal Audit Manager. You will be part of a team responsible for executing the department's annual internal audit plan across Europe. The team is responsible for assessing the risks and conducting independent reviews on the businesses operations and controls across all business units in Europe, in order to provide Senior Management with an accurate assessment of the internal controls environment.
The post holder will be leading and supervising small teams of up to 3 people, this includes internal and external resources, as well as providing cost effective and innovative recommendations to Senior Management for area's of improvement. You will also be involved in the evaluation of the Company's accounting and reporting functions in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Due to the international nature of the role, you must be prepared to travel up to 40% of the time in the UK and Europe. Ideally you will have previous experience of leading teams with solid external and internal audit experience. You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience of working in a public accounting firm - Big 4 is preferred but not essential.
