One of the most rapidly expanding renewable energy firms in Europe are seeking to further consolidate and grow their finance team in line with exceptional recent operational performance. With year on year quarterly financial improvements, this is one of the most exciting organisations to work for in the energy market.
Based in their London office, this role is reporting into the Manager of Cost Control and is responsible for daily financial management of specific projects and preparing project specific financial reporting, combined with coordinating JV accounting.
The successful incumbent will have strong influencing skills and be able to liaise with non finance staff. As this is a project role you will be expected to regularly liaise with engineers on site and in head office.
The successful candidate will have an economic or accounting education and experience with audit (ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferable). You will have a strong understanding of both project work and specifically JV accounting. This point is critical.
Experience with project budgeting on large projects, JV controlling and financial management will be required to set up and analyse budgets, prepare budget prognoses and update budgets for the project. SAP knowledge is an advantage.
As well as the above, you will be tasked with attempting to evaluate the budgetary consequences of new contracts and time schedules in the projects, prepare cash calls for joint venture partners as well as assessing contingency and preparing S-curves for actual and budgeted costs.
