An opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a high profile Projects team within a leading European Investment Bank.
Joining a small team focusing on Policy and Projects this role will allow the successful candidate to take on a varied and challenging role that will enable them to get exposure to all aspects of strategic projects.
Previous projects carried out by the team have included:
- large scale integration project
- providing a high volume of accounting policy opinions on structured funding, credit trading and commodity trades
- producing an accounting specification for a replacement Fixed Income system
- implementing an enhanced commodity trading system
For the successful candidate, day to day responsibilities will include:
- liaising with Business areas to resolve outstanding issues
- preparing detailed testing and conversion plans
- analysing user requirements and business processes, identification of key issues
- working with other Finance department functions/ teams to provide support, guidance and opinions on Group Accounting Policy
The successful candidate will be ACCA qualified or equivalent and will have previously worked either within an Investment Banking policy team or within a technical accounting team in practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must as you must have the ability to interact with all levels of staff and different cultures, including senior members in the Finance Department.
