Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Business Analyst to join the Regulatory Reporting team of a top tier Investment Bank. This team is responsible for the production of all UK FSA Regulatory Reporting of capital adequacy (RWA) and large exposures but also strategic development and capital management support functions.
The strategic development function works with the Regulatory line teams, Finance change management team and IT to specify, develop and implement strategic Regulatory change in relation to calculations, reporting regulatory business process and systems
The successful candidate will be an analyst within this function.
Primary responsibilities of this position will include:
•Acting as project interface between line SMEs, change management, IT and other stakeholders (e.g. Credit, Operations).
•Develop a clear understanding of project requirements to the extent that the individual can be considered a supplementary SME
•Provide detailed input to the documentation of business requirements.
•Perform detailed reviews of all business requirements, functional specifications etc to ensure all Line requirements are delivered
•Document all feedback, tracking their resolution and inclusion in the final signed off documents
•Complete any analysis required to close out issues/questions within the business requirements, liaising with any required experts, such as the Regulatory policy team or credit risk
•Plan the resourcing of the whole of a project life cycle, with particular focus on the reporting line support items, working in conjunction with the Change Management and IT Project manager
•Attendance at all relevant project workshops, providing updates from regulatory reporting and escalating any issues pertinent to the project.
•Detailed planning of UAT; assist line teams in identification and documentation of test scripts; co-ordination and involvement in Line UAT to completion
•Input into go live plan, co-ordinating line involvement during actual go live and assisting the line team in migrating to the new business process post go live.
The jobholder will have prior Investment Banking experience and a background in line regulatory roles having moved into projects. An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is also required.
Knowledge of FSA and BoE requirements and experience working with the Basel II regulatory framework as well as end to end project experience are necessary if considering application for this role.
