Job description
A leading European Investment Bank urgently requires an experienced Trade Finance Officer to support their Trade Services department.
The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running within this department while other team members undertake key projects as part of the bank’s rapid development of Corporate Banking and expansion within the corporate sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Processing of all aspects of import and export Documentary Letters of Credit including issuance, advising/confirmation, 1st/2nd checking of documents, acceptances/deferred payments, discounts, payments and refinance.
• Issuance and amendment of Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit including the creation, assessment and negotiation of transaction texts and other related administrative tasks (such as fee collection, cancellation, claims etc.).
• Processing of import and export Documentary Collections including issuance/presentation, acceptances, payments and refinance.
• Administration of trade related loans including draw-downs, rollovers and repayments.
Key Requirements for this position:
• Detailed knowledge of UCP, ISBP, URR, URC and ISP
• Working knowledge of SWIFT 1XX, 2XX, 4XX & 7XX series messages.
• Experience of BankTrade trade finance system
• Good understanding of bank facility documentation and other legal documentation
• Facility and transaction management of any structured trade finance arrangements.
• Distinct Advantage: Fluency in any foreign language
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate sound knowledge of trade finance gained from a similar banking operations environment , covering some or all areas of trade finance including Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Collections.
