Accountant – Product Control

Goodman Masson have partnered with a London based Bank to assist with their search for an experienced Accountant – Product Control to join the Finance function on an initial 6 month FTC with a view to being converted to perm.

The role has arisen as a result of increased reporting requirements in the London Branch and a significant increase in projects including implementing new products, reporting processes and hedge accounting. You will be responsible for the preparation of both internal and external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Production of daily, monthly & quarterly P&Ls
• Review balance sheet for all Treasury, Loan and Deposit products
• Daily and month-end analysis of FX trading P&L, hedge accounting analysis & hedge effectiveness testing
• Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations
• Preparing audit packs
• Preparation of the daily P&L reports

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial products
• FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, Bonds, MM Deposits and Loan products is essential
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically a strong command in Excel and PowerPoint as well as good level for VBA and SQL
• Fluency in English (desirable: ability to communicate in Mandarin)
