Goodman Masson are recruiting for an Accountant for a world leading big data and predictive research analysis firm based in a great central London office.

The ideal person for this role will relish being in the company of some of the smartest people in the UK and be able to handle the pressure of working in such an institution. This role requires someone happy to take the lead on the accounting and help mentor junior members of the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake month end processes: bank reconciliations, accruals/prepayments, depreciation.
  • Undertake ad hoc project work e.g benchmarking, deep dive analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors.
  • Payments using online banking.
  • Record intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Oversee a junior member of team.

Assistant junior member of the team with:

  • Invoice processing.
  • Record day to day financial transactions in SAP.
  • Payments using online banking.
  • Process staff expenses.


  • Proven bookkeeping and accounts payable experience (c~8 years minimum).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, prepayments, capitalisation, etc)
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/etc).
  • Ability to operate independently and high level of organisation.
  • Customer service orientation when dealing with suppliers.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
