A well-known and reputable retail client of ours are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced and dynamic finance team.

In this role, you will have responsibility for:

Purchase Ledger:

- Matching/batching and posting invoices about 150 a month

- Auditing invoices for approvals and coding prior to posting

- Reconciling Supplier Statements

- Processing Supplier Payments - twice a month main payment runs

- Filing paid and unpaid invoices

- Answering/resolving supplier's queries

- Reconciling/posting/paying staff expenses

- Reconciling/posting company credit card expenses- x5

Sales Ledger:

- Collecting billing information from Commercial Team and reconciling it

- Creating sales invoices about 180 a month and sending them out to customers

- Maintain/reconcile sales ledger and resolve queries and discrepancies

- Collecting/chasing PO's numbers from customers

- Debt collections via emails/telephone calls


- Bank reconciliations on daily basis - 5 bank accounts

- Analytical reviews of P&L - on monthly basis

- Assisting with the audit processes- once a year

Desirables Attributes:

- You will have at least 1 years' experience in accounting

- Intermediate Excel skills

- You will be able to prioritise your work effectively and be organised

- You will have a good telephone manner, and be a good communicator and team player

- You will have excellent attention to detail and be willing to take on extra tasks where required

- Sage Line 50

- Microsoft Excel

- Microsoft Word

- Microsoft Outlook
