About the role:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a a British hi-fi manufacturer, specialising in audio engineering. This is a temporary role that could be made permanent for the right candidate. This role is office based 4 days a week, with 1 day from home. This role is based in their Salisbury office.

You will do/be:

  • The priorities of the role will encompass all aspects of the accounts payable function from the processing of source documents to reconciling supplier statements.
  • Key objective of the role is to ensure a timely, accurate and controlled payment cycle.
  • Processing of supplier invoices into the Purchase ledger and filing these documents into the document management database, running twice monthly payment runs & overseas payments for the company
  • Communicating with internal colleagues and external suppliers where necessary to rectify any queries.
  • Setting up new, and maintaining existing suppliers within the accounting package.
  • * Processing personal expense claims in line with company guidelines.
  • Assist with, and where necessary, conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of Direct Debit mandates.
  • Produce regular supplier statement reconciliations for review and approval.
  • Assist with unposted invoices accruals at period end.
  • Monitor and manage Goods Received/Invoice Received nominal accounts.
  • Provide forecast pay-run information to be consolidated into cash-flow forecasting.
  • Providing cover for AR Accountant where necessary.
  • Assist with tasks as required to support the Operations Finance Manager
  • Assist external auditors with any information request that is required for audit.
  • All employees have a responsibility for quality and must check the quality of the work they perform.
  • The above list of main duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Part qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA


  • Hybrid working (1 day from Home)

  • Up to £30,000 depending on experience
