Our client is a global investment company who are seeking a payroll practitioner to join their team based in London.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the finance team to understand the structure of the company, particularly where invoices are billed and how expenses are allocated.
• Learn to use our systems including Sage X3 and Gitlab
• Independently process invoices, coding them correctly in X3
• Assist with supplier accounting queries or following up with suppliers for any other reason
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks & requests across the Finance function
• Supporting the annual audit by assisting with the request list
• Preparing, processing and reviewing financial documents incl. invoices, bills, purchase orders
• Procurement & following up with suppliers, chasing invoices
• Assisting with supplier accounting queries
• Business expenses review and processing
• Help maintain finance procedures and documentation
• Assisting with annual audits
• Responding to accounts queries
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks & requests across the Finance function
• Allocating costs to specific cost centres

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounting/finance role, ideally from a financial or professional services background or related service provider
• Good understanding of accounting systems and processes
• Good understanding of HMRC personal taxation rules and UK VAT requirements. Experience with financial audits
• Excellent data entry skills. Strong IT Skills – Microsoft Office/Excel essential
• Highly organised, Able to perform and prioritise under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience working for an Investment Manager – desirable
• Appreciation of how a Hedge Fund is structured – desirable
• Knowledge of Sage x3 – desirable
• Understanding of Singapore GST – desirable
