A multi-national shared office space company is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Accountant on a 6 month F.T.C

The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to manage the finances for a group of buildings within the company's portfolio. You will liaise with their building managers and department heads, complete the month end reporting and provide support on a contract basis to the Management Accounting team during the period of implementation of a new Finance/ERP System.

This role is varied and priorities will change as the Management Accounting team and company prepare for the new system.


Responsible for assisting the Management Accountant which includes:

  • System implementation support including data cleansing and data migration
  • Manage a portfolio of properties
  • Provide updates to members of finance and head office
  • Analyse the departmental spend providing insight to the Finance Manager and other AMAs
  • Provide building managers and department heads with analysis when required
  • Month end
  • Year end
  • P&L and balance sheets for your portfolio
  • Reconcile licence fee revenue and balance sheets
  • Accrual and prepayments
  • Maintain and distribute the management information pack
  • Review work of the AR/AP teams
  • Review existing processes, identify improvements and implement them
  • Develop and create reports using Jet and Excel
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work as required

Skills and Experience

  • Intermediate Excel abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage a portfolio
  • Previous system implementation experience
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to bring new ideas to the table
  • Ability to communicate with finance and non-finance personnel
