Location: Uxbridge, Hybrid Working
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Are you a finance professional looking to elevate your career with a well-established Italian restaurant group? We’re seeking an Assistant Reporting Accountant to join us for a 12-month maternity cover Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). In this role, you’ll take a central role in providing our management team with accurate financial information while overseeing daily music finance and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Period End Accounting: Support the completion of period end accounting tasks for utilities, which includes managing accruals and prepayments, as well as preparing management accounts and conducting variance analysis for specific general ledger accounts.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Create and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, assisting in the investigation of reconciling items to ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
  • General Ledger Support: Address inquiries related to assigned general ledger accounts, maintaining financial data accuracy and integrity.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, ensuring compliance and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Daily Music Finance Management: Take ownership of the daily financial aspects of our music venues, including maintaining the music master file, using the booking management system to communicate payment details to artists/agents for shows, verifying and coding music invoices, and preparing weekly and monthly music reports for the music manager.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • An analytical mindset, allowing you to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments within our organization.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as JDE or SAP would be highly desirable.
