One of the most reputable accountancy firms in the UK are currently looking for an Audit Manager to join their Chelmsford hub on a permanent basis.

Your duties/responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients ranging in sector and size, from SME's to FTSE listed clients
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them throughout the Audit cycle
  • Leading audit reviews & agreeing timetables - overseeing the process from start to finish
  • Managing junior members of staff
  • Business development - speaking to and meeting prospective clients, and assisting with the winning of new clients
  • Assisting Directors and Partners with ad-hoc tasks

The ideal candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualified, or equivalent
  • Proven external Audit experience, preferably managing your own portfolio
  • Excellent working knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/FRS)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
