I am looking for a qualified accountant to join one of the world's leading financial groups as an AVP in the Financial Reporting team. This world renowned institution is well known for hiring the top 1-2% of candidates, and also creating opportunities for their employees to develop and progress, with internal mobility at the forefront of their core values.

In the role you will take a senior position in the Financial Reporting team, in which you will contribute to the success of delivering financial statements to Head Office. You will have full accountability on aspects of the reporting process, as well as be expected to develop you knowledge of trading strategies to challenge bookings and transaction structures. You will further be expected to contribute value-add analysis to figures, whilst understanding business drivers to highlight business optimisation. There are also elements of process improvement, increasing efficiencies to enable focus on value-add analysis within the business.

Excellent interpersonal skills are needed for this role, as you will be constantly communicating with the trading desk, market risk and product control teams. This opportunity allows much more than a typical accountancy role, with lots of room for learning and development from the interaction of other parts of the business.

Key Skills: -

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)
  • Financial instruments (derivatives) experience
  • Accounts prep experience
  • Practical knowledge of IFRS
  • Ability to work with large, complex volumes of data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
