A leading global energy business currently requires a BPO Manager to join their shared services function. The role will analyse and assess the business's requirements for 3rd party services for the next 5 years and lead any subsequent requirement to rebid contracts.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating, challenging and finalising function and business demand requirements taking into account assumptions on Process and Technology Transformation
  • Working with Procurement to understand the supply market developments and emerging market pricing models
  • Working with Procurement to define the go-to-market negotiating strategy and participating in the contractual negotiations
  • Lead the finalisation of the contract and drive the process through to completion
  • Act as the BPO contract SME understanding the detail of the contractual terms especially the commercial requirements and limitations of the contract
  • Work with Procurement and key stakeholders to conduct regular supplier performance reviews against the requirements of the contract and agree actions to maintain the value proposition of the contract
  • Manage the contract change control process and escalation of contract change requests to relevant governance forums
  • Review and endorse amendments, additions or deletions to contract documents
  • Ensure fulfilment of BPO contract obligations
  • Provide contract interpretation/advice/training to business stakeholders
  • Maintain Contract Management Manual
  • Set the overall plan objectives for the coming year, aggregating the changes from the Functional teams to create an aligned change plan
  • Identify, prioritise, and recommend cost saving opportunities
  • Codify agreed efficiencies and consequential financial impact in an aligned BPO plan
  • Performance manage the in-year delivery against the Plan, tracking any issues and intervening as required to bring on track
  • Budgets - understand and track BPO spend forecasts and budgets
  • Spend approval - review and approve BPO invoices Cost recovery - approve an appropriate BPO cost charge back process and ensure this is executed to Plan
  • Manage gain/pain sharing framework application
  • Track planned efficiencies and intervene where not tracking to Plan to ensure corrective action
  • Coordinate the agenda for, and lead the commercial performance component of, the Strategic Governance Board meetings

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable commercial contracting experience
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Project management skills
  • Team management experience
  • Experience of function service delivery
  • Performance and Planning experience
  • Energy sector experience is desirable.
