An exceptional 12 months FTC opportunity with a great potential to go permanent for a Commercial Accountant, to join a great media business.

Main Duties:

Partnership with the client lead

  • Working closely with the client leads
  • Responsible for working with the team in terms of revenue reporting and forecasting
  • Ensuring timely reporting in adherence to internal timetables
  • Working with the client lead on resource reforecasting and ensuring this is recorded in the capacity planning tool, advising on best practice and margin improvement
  • Building a margin improvement plan and monitoring progress against it
  • Reviewing the KPIs with the client leads and providing narrative on areas as appropriate and making an improvement plan
  • Attending internal meetings with Client Group Lead
  • Reviewing the T&E spend and advising the client lead where appropriate
  • Regular catch-up with the client project managers to understand the latest scopes, staffing, capacity planning and job progress on clients

Client reporting

  • Preparing client reconciliations which are accurate and timely
  • Assisting in any client audits
  • Accounting for foreign exchange in line with the client contract and the business policies


  • Ensuring compliance with SOx regulations in relevant areas, particularly in relation to revenue recognition
  • Assisting in any SOx or other audits

Client Revenues

  • Ensuring there is an updated tracker of revenues at all times
  • Ensuring the tracker matches exactly to the used system reporting each month end
  • Posting any revenue accrual or deferral journals in a timely manner for month end reporting
