Commercial Business Partner

One of the UK's fastest-growing non profit organisations is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded candidate to join their team in an excellent new role, as Commercial Business Partner. As the key finance contact for the division, this role is pivotal to ensuring business leaders of the organisation have the visibility, commercial insight and support that they need. You will take a lead role in supporting the Divisional team with insight, analysis and challenge to drive performance and control and manage costs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Regular partner performance review, supporting regional teams and Divisional Director with insight, analysis and MI to understand KPIs and track performance against plan
  • Monthly management reporting including variance analysis and insightful commentary highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Produce and consolidate detailed annual budgets/ plans and quarterly reforecasts, communicating and challenging assumptions
  • Detailed monthly review of establishment costs highlighting risks, variances, and impact on full year costs
  • Monthly management accounts including accruals, provisions and reconciliations

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant
  • Have excellent experience as a trusted Business Partner to senior colleagues
  • Be experienced in running and performing budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Have advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets would be beneficial)
  • Be commercially aware, with excellent communication skills and the ability to present plans to support business decisions
