Title: Commercial Finance Analyst

Reports to: Head of Commercial Insight

Location: Head office, Central London


Job Description

This role will assist in providing commercial finance support to the company through business insights and analytical support. In addition to some monthly commercial reporting and ad hoc analysis, the person will assist with the annual budget and the quarterly re-forecasting process.

This role involves a broad remit to support the business. There are various reports this person will assist with on a regular basis which are distributed to key stakeholders, as well as opportunities to analyse the business in new and improved ways. An ability to quickly analyse data and make actionable recommendations is critical for this role.

  • Business partner to the commercial teams (marketing, procurement and operations), delivering clarity and consistency to commercial decision making
  • Integral to menu development, sales & margin modelling, promotional analysis including ROI
  • Ad hoc sales analysis as requested as well as pro-activity in identifying trends and insights
  • Deal with queries from key stakeholders both in Finance and other departments
  • Support key strategic initiatives with robust analysis and capital investment appraisal of restaurant refurbishment and new site acquisition decisions
  • Assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
  • Assist with the delivery of monthly commercial reporting
  • Provide commercial insight into the monthly board packs

The ideal Candidate

  • Financial qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) preferable
  • Strong MS Excel capability
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining efficiency
  • Able to analyse data and present it in a clear, user-friendly format to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Multi-site retail or Hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior use of BI tools preferred (Power BI etc)
