One of the top tech firms in New York City is looking to bring on a Data Engineer to their team. As a Data Engineer, you will work in small fast paced, product driven environment and will collaborate with teams from across the organization. Your role will be crucial to the development of their new data pipeline and you will serve as the subject matter expert for their new data analytics initiative.

  • Strong generalist technology background:
  • Programming​ ​skills, ​​with​ exposure to ​multiple​ ​implementation languages/frameworks​ such as ​Python,​ ​Node.js,​ ​JavaScript, etc.
  • Knowledge of ​large-scale, ​big data, and streaming​ ​data​ ​technologies
  • Familiarity with structured and unstructured data sources
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, techniques, and processes

What you will do as a Data Engineer:

  • Implement proof-of-concept ETL pipelines for new datasets
  • Support analysts and data scientists to assess the value of current and new datasets
  • Actively search for and identify useful new datasets for integration
  • Participate in requirements gathering and transformation from prototype to product design
  • Conduct research on latest data processing tools and trends
