Finance Assurance Lead

As part of its ongoing growth and development, one of the UK's largest and fastest-growing organisations is looking for an exceptional candidate to join them in this newly created role. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for ensuring that appropriate controls and risk management practices are embedded across the organisation's network of partners.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Defining and implementing risk matrix for partners
  • Delivering a Partner Audit Plan including financial and non-financial criteria, policies and practices, and undertaking analysis or providers
  • Working with Procurement, Contract Management and Operations to evaluate financial health of providers; working with the Data Assurance team to assure the validity of partner data
  • Working across both the Finance and Assurance teams to identify, scope and undertake internal efficiency reviews of the organisation's departments
  • Undertaking audits to examine and assess the adequacy of the organisation's risk management, internal controls and governance

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Have demonstrable ability and understanding of financial assurance, value for money and risk management and control
  • Be experienced and knowledgeable of the full audit cycle, from scoping to planning through to issuing final reports
  • Have experience with finance assurance protocol design and implementation, and of writing policies and designing operational processes
