Goodman Masson are partnering with a large, well known University in Central London to find a Finance Business Partner to cover a 6-month interim role paying c£300 a day. The postholder will be expected to interview and begin this position in the next 4 weeks so must be either immediately available or on a short notice period.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly management accounts including accruals, provisions and reconciliations
  • Prove monthly management reporting including variance analysis and insightful commentary highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Produce and consolidate detailed annual budgets/plans and quarterly reforecasts communicating and challenging assumptions
  • Manage and develop a small team of part and non-qualified financial professionals (3 postholders)
  • Other ad-hoc duties will include income and expenditure statements, cash flow, balance sheet and movement of funds statements; reviewing supporting workpapers and reconciliations prepared by your team

Essential criteria:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Significant post qualification working experience in the education sector
  • Proven experience with financial and management reporting, business partnering for senior colleagues and managing junior staff
  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel and Agresso)
