Join a reputable, national organisation as Finance Business Partner to 16 regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified candidate to deliver commercial and business advisory support to 16 area offices, and to work with management teams to deliver strategic business development plans. This position offers both progression and constant variation, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the organisation's strategic plans.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Involvement (as a team member or finance project lead) in major projects which have a significant financial or commercial dimension
  • Critically reviewing and challenging draft budget & forecast data, partnering with budget holders to ensure their submitted budgets are complete and accurate
  • Coordinate the submission of, and undertake performance monitoring for, operating, capital and cash flow budgets for each unit
  • Producing and distributing monthly management accounts and other periodic financial reports, reviewing any variances
  • Undertaking site visits in order to build strong working relationships with the regional offices

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a full professional accounting qualification, and prior experience working in a finance business partnering capacity
  • Have prior experience with variance reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost modelling and providing commercial support to multiple departments
  • Be an advanced user of Excel, and knowledge of a variety of accounting systems (Open Accounts is desirable)
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to build and maintain strong relationships with budget holders whilst being able to push back and challenge when necessary
