I'm working for a high-growth online retail business based in Hatfield, where I'm recruiting for a Finance Capex Analyst role. This is a brand-new vacancy due to the business' innovative approach to retail - you would have the opportunity to shape and mould part of the finance function, and would have exposure to business partnering with senior stakeholders. The role offers significant opportunity to add value as the business grows.

The role of Finance Capex Analyst will include:

  • Business Partnering with Senior Managers across Logistics Projects, Technology and Implementation Infrastructure teams
  • Building and ongoing ownership of budget cost models
  • Support on business cases, NPV analysis, capital approval requests for new projects or other cost modelling
  • Support on budgets and reforecasting
  • Oversight of project reporting ensuring useful insight provided
  • Bench marking analysis and cost comparisons, identifying cost optimisation opportunities and commercial challenges
  • Reviewing capex spend as part of month end, report to stakeholders and hold insightful reviews with Project Managers

The suitable candidate for the role of Finance Capex Analyst must be/have:

  • CIMA/ACA qualified with 4+ years PQE
  • Minimum 2.1 degree and other strong academics
  • Experience within Engineering/Technology sector
  • Solid experience of supporting Capex projects
  • Solid experience of budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience in supporting finance and non-finance teams
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential
