One of the largest shipping companies in the world are looking for a Finance Manager to lead a small team of 3 delivering monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements alongside regular financial analysis and a focus on process improvement/operational efficiency. The company is headquartered in Asia however this role is responsible for the Europe and Africa regions.
Responsibilities in more detail include:
- People management (provide direction and motivate the team to achieve success)
- Prepare the region's consolidated accounts according to the requirement of IFRS for the global head office
- Lead the audit process
- Ensure tight controls across the region through stringent financial statement review
- Continually identifying process improvements and system enhancements and then implementing change
The Finance Manager will have an audit (ACA) background with ideally 1-2 years industry experience. Candidates straight from practice will also be considered however. Strong project management knowledge and experience with data mining, analytics and risk assessment tools would also be key skills to bring to this role.
