Finance Officer

Are you looking for an exciting new role with an Education Trust? A multi-academy Trust, spanning the South East are looking for a Finance Officer to join their team as soon as possible!

The Trust is formed of a diverse collection of schools across London and Kent, with multiple offices in and around these locations. The children who attend these schools are the centre of everything they do, and the organisation is focused hugely on collaboration. Your new colleagues bring experience from a variety of different professional backgrounds, including the Department of Education.

What is the role?

Joining the Central Finance team, your time will be split between their offices in the City & their schools in South East London, with the option to work one day from home. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Maintaining the purchase ledger; preparing BACS payments
• Monitoring the sales ledger
• Carrying out monthly balance sheet & bank reconciliations
• Assisting the Finance Business Partner & wider Finance team with ad-hoc duties
• Partnering with other academies within the Trust to ensure financial information is received accurately & efficiently

This role is offering a salary of up to £30k

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• 4+ years experience working with Accounts Payable
• Confident user of Excel & other systems; experience with PS Financials beneficial
• Experience working in an MAT desirable
• Strong communication skills
