Goodman Masson are looking for a recently qualified accountant to join a leading bank in the heart of Luxembourg, to work within their Finance division. The position will report directly into the CFO and give you exposure to the full breadth of the business from a finance perspective.

You would be expected to add value to the wider company, offering your advice and expertise to the CFO, COO and other business functions including Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury and HR - as you can see it will require someone who is a confident communicator, adept in speaking with people of all levels across the firm. It's this approach that allows the business to create an excellent working culture among all departments.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include supporting the CFO build out a slick finance function, ensuring all financial controls are tight, and that deadlines for all internal and external reporting are met. You would also be forward looking in analysing revenue and operating expenditure. With this taken care of, you would then assist senior business leaders in new business initiatives, so there is a healthy mix of BAU and projects to be involved in.

Working alongside the CFO so closely will give you direct exposure to understanding the inner workings of a major bank's finance function, and therefore give you the opportunity to progress into a senior role quicker than most positions at this level would. They are looking for candidates with Financial Services experience.
