My client is a specialist asset manager who focuses on structured finance and credit. They are looking for a fully qualified accountant to join them on a 6 month fixed term contract as a Financial Consultant. You will be working alongside the Financial Controller and Financial Manager in a London based finance team.

£55,000 - £60,000 pro rata

Key Responsibilities:

General ledger maintenance and control

  • Accounts payable control, settlements, postings and supplier management
  • Bank account and credit card reconciliations and revaluations
  • Intercompany accounts control and reconciliations
  • Expense analysis, approvals and settlements
  • Recharge invoicing and control
  • Preparation and oversight of outsourced financial control functions

Management and Financial reporting

  • Reconciliation and revaluation of revenues and rebates
  • Preparation of monthly management accounting packs
  • Preparation of manager annual financial statements
  • Preparation of quarterly regulatory returns for FCA and NFA reporting
  • Preparation of small group company financial statements

Financial control and oversight

  • Month-end processes and controls (Transfer pricing, accruals and prepayments)
  • Quarterly balance sheet substantiation
  • Review of outsourced function results
  • Expense recharges process

Essential Attributes & Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience working within asset management
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting from debits and credits through to financial statements
  • Great MS Office skills
