This is a 12 month role taking on a team of 5 to take over the $1 billion business unit of a multinational technology business. This role puts you at the centre of one of the most profitable regions in the business and will be working on large client projects engaging with all areas of the business. The role is looking for a proactive people manager who can come into a successful and growing team to support with projects and process improvements and manage the day to day finances.

  • Delivery of month end for the group head office under FRS102 & US GAAP
  • Working with the team to produce monthly performance and UK finance and operational analysis
  • Production of budget vs actuals
  • Working with external stakeholders to ensure SOX compliance is adhered to
  • Management of a team of 5 qualified and part qual accountants
  • Lead new initiatives around process improvement and system upgrade projects
  • Management of revenue for large and long term client projects & deals
  • Partnering with various commercial teams to give financial guidance on sales and operations

The financial controller will ideally have the following experience:

  • Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent including QBE
  • Recent experience in a financial controller role managing large turnover
  • Experience working in a US owned business is beneficial
  • Strong technical knowledge and US GAAP & SOX is beneficial
  • Very good people management skills
  • Experience coming up with new initiatives and implementing improvements
  • Proactive and friendly and a good business communicator
