A rapidly growing Technology Consultancy business is looking for a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and lead all of the core financial activities. This Financial Controller role is a key experienced hire for the business and will require someone with strong leadership qualities.

Within this role, the Financial Controller will manage and develop a small team to drive improvements in processes, the quality of information, analysis and reporting. A key facet of the role will be to assess the skillsets of the individuals currently in the team, ensure they are doing the right roles and identify and skill gaps for development. In addition, there may be a requirement to hire and grow the team in line with company growth.

The key duties of the Financial Controller will be to lead the monthly financial close process, work closely with the Finance Director and other members of the senior leadership team run the yearly, quarterly and monthly budgeting and forecasting. This individual will also play a lead role in the 3-5 year strategic plans and be a key contributor to investment business cases.

This is a very broad role that requires an individual who is collaborative, has excellent leadership skills and who is also willing to be 'hands on' and roll their sleeves up.

The ideal profile will be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA from a Practice trained background) with some post-qualified experience in a similar role.
