I'm working for a health care FMCG business based in Central London, where I am recruiting for a Financial Controller role. This business is a high-growth, global SME with plans to double their turn-over over the next five years. This would be a really exciting time to join the business and mould their finance function; the role will be fast paced and you will gain lots of exposure.

The role of Financial Controller will include:

  • Delivering accurate UK and consolidated group management/statutory reporting within regular deadlines
  • Overseeing month end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Implementing and reviewing the regional balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working with the Group FC and treasury office to monitor forex exposure and hedging reporting
  • Supporting the Group FC in maintaining and implementing Group policies and procedures
  • Planning and managing the annual audit under FRS 102 and liaising with the subsidiary Controllers
  • Managing and completing statutory returns; corporation tax, VAT and PAYE
  • Coaching and developing 2 direct reports

The suitable candidate for the role of Financial Controller must be/have:

  • Full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Experience of producing group reporting and/or statutory accounts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Motivated and able to operate with minimum supervision
  • Excellent IT skills, ideally SAP
  • An audit background would be ideal
