Join a world-leading organisation within the performing arts field as their new Financial Controller, as the organisation's output and ambition grows rapidly and as its UK and international productions increase. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance Director to support with financial strategy, business planning and building a strong internal control environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a team of qualified management accountants, ensuring your team operates proactively, collaboratively and effectively
  • Leading on key control functions: managing bank and related facilities, active cashflow and regular cashflow projection reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the Finance Director to deliver quarterly information packs for Finance Committee and Board reporting requirements
  • Collating the monthly management accounting pack, and preparing the year end statutory accounts and coordinating the audit
  • Supporting the organisation's trading/enterprise function through business partnering, providing support and analysis to aid decision making

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience of working in the Arts or Charity sector
  • Have demonstrable experience of managing, reviewing and improving internal processes and systems
  • Be highly experienced with financial and management reporting, audit management, charity tax and VAT
  • Have strong team management experience, confident developing and upskilling staff
