A high growth tech business in Aberdeen is looking for a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will play a key role in shaping the finance function and building out the processes that will underpin the company growth. This is a highly acquisitive business having made two recent acquisitions and the Financial Controller will be a contributor to any further transaction activity. The business is looking for someone with the skills and characteristics to progress into a full Finance Director role over the next 18 months so this is a fantastic time to join the business.

The Financial Controller will take on the management of a small team as well as managing the relationship with their outsourced accounting partner. The Financial Controller will also take the lead on the strategic direction of the finance function in terms of what aspects of the financial processes should remain outsourced and which ones to bring in house. Ultimately it is the role of the FC to shape and mould the finance function as they see fit in line with company goals.

This is a very broad role and the Financial Controller will not simply take ownership of the core monthly processes. This individual will also lead the budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis and partner closely with a range of stake holders and the Board to drive performance.

The ideal profile will be a qualified accountant with strong post-qualified experience in a similar role.
