A startup technology business is looking for a Financial Controller. This individual will be tasked with building the finance processes, systems and controls as well as financial models that will underpin the finance function moving forwards. The Financial Controller will be the 'No. 1' in Finance and therefore needs to be a self starter and an extremely proactive individual. One of the Board members is the ex-CFO of two multinational tech firms so there is a strong mentor figure in place if required but the Financial Controller will take on ultimate responsibility for the finance function.

The Financial Controller will need to work closely with all business stakeholders to implement best practice as well as high quality, insightful reporting. This individual will also take a lead role on setting up new overseas entities as the company grows, working with both internal and external advisors to understand the various operational risks of different countries or regions.

The company's technology provides a remote working and onboarding platform and the team 'lives' the product. Therefore this position is 100% remote working and can ultimately be done from anywhere. The 40+ person team has been able to build a positive and collaborative working culture regardless, and stays connected through video conferencing and messaging platforms.

This business has huge potential and is on the verge of completing a record 'Series A' funding round. The Financial Controller will play a key role in further funding rounds and will be directly involved in the process.

The ideal profile would be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with 2-4 years post-qualified experience. Demonstrable exposure to setting up new entities (overseas and UK) would be hugely beneficial as well as being able to example broad, all round finance experience.
