A small international bank in the city of London are looking to recruit a Financial Crime Assistant Manager for their team.
They are looking for someone with strong AML and anti-financial crime background as the main purpose of this role is to manage the transaction monitoring team, responsible for undertaking and analysing transactions for suspicious activity reporting.
Day to day activities include managing the transaction monitoring team, being responsible for investigating and assessing alerts of potential money laundering and financial crime risks to the Bank. In addition to this, you will be managing workflows and maintaining and following procedures for transaction monitoring.
The ideal candidate will be performing on-going reviews of the AML system used in generating alerts and provide constructive reports for system related changes for making the system/process more robust.
It is essential that you have a background understanding of AML Transactional Monitoring environment with experience in financial crime and good knowledge of regulatory rules and AML regulations. Furthermore, experience in identifying unusual and suspicious transactions and outlining rationale is important, as is knowledge and experience of risk based approach pertaining to AML processes.

Salary up to £40,000 per annum.
