Group Tax Manager – Fully Remote UK based

A global energy and engineering business is looking to recruit a Group Tax Manager to join their business, on a remote basis.

There might be occasional travel 2-3 days a month to the Aberdeen office.

Role:

• Direct and indirect taxes for the group entities
• International tax compliance
• Group tax provisioning and all tax requirements for entity statutory reporting
• Reviewing and setting tax policies across the business
• Preparation of all group entity corporate tax filings
• Preparation of tax provisions for audit purposes -UK GAAP/IFRS
• Preparation or review of quarterly forecasts for the UK & US corporate groups
• Manage relationships with tax authorities
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance for the Group in all financial matters.
• Assist where required from tax perspective on any acquisitions, due diligence work.
• Review and approval prior to submission of various VAT/GST filings including but not limited to UK, Singapore, Indonesia and India, Denmark, UAE.
• Oversee and manager VAT or sales tax audits
• Oversee preparation of transfer pricing documentation and annual R&D reports as required.
• Lead restructuring and other planning opportunities
• Provide advisory support on employment tax issues

Essential:

• Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant or equivalent
• Strong Tax accounting skills (UK GAAP, IFRS)
• Strong corporate tax experience
