Goodman Masson are working with one of the top universities in the world to recruit for a Head of Security Operations to join the CISO. This role will be leading on all aspects of security at the university and would be an exciting development opportunity for someone looking to step into a management/senior role.

Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Duration: Permanent
Location: Central London (minimum on-site requirement once per week)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading and mentoring the Security Operations team
• Acting as the escalation point for security operational issues across the team
• Creating processes, assessing incident reports, and developing and implementing crisis communication plans
• Identifying gaps in the operations toolset, leading on closing the gaps, and defining the improvement roadmap
• Developing and refining processes used by the security team
• Managing the relationship with external suppliers and providers of security services

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrable experience in a senior security operations role
• Good experience deploying, configuring, and utilising security tools, such as SIEM, EDR & NSM
• Experience leading a team would be beneficial
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical end users
