I’m looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join a a full service bank, offering current accounts, savings accounts, mortgages and loans, with a mission to serve customers and communities with compassion and integrity.

This is a permanent role offering hybrid working (3 days from the London office) and paying £40-45k. If you have 2+ years in experience in a similar role, apply today!

As Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will be top of the tree when it comes to making Human Resource business decisions to support the business with all staffing and HR matters through its growth stage. it’s important everyone understands what the company policies are and how they are performing and contributing to what needs to be achieved. As the HRBP you will be the creator and custodian and guide for the business as it moves through breakeven and beyond.

Key accountabilities

Whilst the role is required to contribute at a strategic level the role will be the first employed (albeit there is a Resources Officer in place who manages payroll administration and has been building out the policy framework) and will need to manage and support all required HR activities so will require a hands-on approach whilst also maintaining that all statutory and legal employment requirements are met whilst the business grows.

  • o Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development, including:
  • a) recruitment and selection policy/practices
  • b) induction processes
  • c) discipline, grievance and counselling
  • d) pay, conditions and contracts
  • e) training and development
  • f) succession planning
  • g) morale and motivation, culture and attitudinal development
  • h) performance appraisals and quality management issues
  • i) annual staff survey
  • j) Salary and benefits benchmarking
  • o Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of HR
  • o Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • o Manage and develop direct reporting staff
  • o Liaise with functional/departmental directors and managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements.
  • o Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to managers and staff within the organisation
  • o Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team
  • o Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • o Complies with all statutory and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
