About the role:

I am currently working exclusively with a Cambridge based multinational business who are seeking an experienced, technically strong billing manager with a proven track record of leading teams, developing process, and managing a variety of challenging internal and external stakeholders to get the very best out of the function.

The role will initially last for a period of 3-6 months and will be requiring an ASAP start.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for complex international, multi-currency billing in excess of £550m, and 20,000+ accounts
  • Lead department to deliver on complex, multi-priced billing across a range of different product groups
  • This is a highly pressured, time critical role. High planning and timetabling skills is a must. Day to day this is communicating with 8,000 customers regularly
  • Manage the team (currently 3 but growing) to deliver billing activities on time, accurately and in line with industry regulations. This is a technical specialist role as well as a managerial role.
  • Accountable for managing master data of over 10,000 global customers across multiple bespoke systems
  • Highly skilled in change management – organisationally (resource) and technology (systems)
  • The role is a key part of the finance management team. Need to be subject matter expert at developing billing strategy and support technologies. Will be central to leadership meetings
  • Create policy, SOPs and process documents to reflect procedures and ways of working, aligned to industry regulations
  • Deliver system testing that impact revenue billing, auditing, ensuring accurate recording and communication of outcomes
  • Lead a culture of positivity, trust and autonomous decision making, based on evidence-based standards. Lead a team of pro-active, high-performing SMEs

Full spec available on request.

Whilst the business is based in Cambridge, this role will only be required in their offices (based next to the train station) once a week, with the other four being remote. This should hopefully mean for London based candidates in easy access of Kings Cross, that this is a manageable opportunity.

I have worked with this business for a year plus now, and partnered with a number of their leadership team to recruit, all of whom have been extremely dynamic, collaborative and keen to work together and from the feedback I’ve received from my candidates, it’s proven an excellent place to work.

It’s also worth noting that while this role is initially temp, for the right individual there is a strong potential for it to turn permanent in due course. Rates listed are via an umbrella company.

Please apply via this advert or to be fast tracked, send your CV directly to me with a brief covering note at chris.parker@goodmanmasson.com.

In our company values we aim for equity at all stages of the recruitment process, please let us know if we can do anything to make the process more accessible to you.
