A well known, large national charity has created a new Head of FP&A role whilst it goes through an exciting time of change and transformation. This large disability charity does truly amazing work on a national scale and this newly-created position is an excellent opportunity to work with a commercially-minded, forward-thinking charity.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ownership and preparation of both the monthly Exec and the quarterly Board packs with commentary
  • Oversight of all management reporting and financial analysis as well as forecasting, annual budgeting and longer-term planning processes
  • Leading the business partnering of central functions and enterprise-wide change programmes
  • Supporting the implementation of the new finance system; lead on the improvement of reporting & forecasting
  • Responsibility for corporate overheads (with focus on the IT department, but also strong oversight of HR, Finance, Quality, CEO Office and Communications)
  • Business case preparation / investment appraisals
  • Managing 3 direct reports (total team of 5)

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in a senior level FP&A role
  • An advanced user of Excel, to VBA/macro level
  • Highly experienced presenting financial information (including Exec and Board pack preparation & presentation)
  • A strong manager with a proven track record of leading a team
  • An experienced Finance Business Partner to IT teams
