Interim Ledger Accountant & Credit Control Manager

£110 – £125per day* Umbrella (Depending on experience)
1-month temp role + Full time office based
Our client is looking for a motivated individual to lead a small sales ledger department. The role primarily includes ensuring the accurate accounting for retail sales ledger transactions and overseeing wholesale credit control. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance team and reports directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small sales ledger team.
- Ensure wholesale customer credit accounts are paid in full and on time.
- Oversee retail (online and showroom) sales leger reconciliations.
- Oversee cash, card, PayPal and bank account reconciliations.
- Assess and determine customer credit limits.
- Ensure sales cut off has been correctly applied.
- Ensure sales invoices, credit notes and refunds are processed correctly.
- Produce sales ledger information to generate accurate management accounts.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Liaise with third party debt recovery agencies.
- Investigate ad hoc customer queries and rectify to ensure sales ledger transactions are correct.
Requirements
- Experience of working in finance department.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have strong IT and systems skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a structured manner and to prioritise workload.
