My client, a renowned local authority, is recruiting an interim Management Accountant to join their central finance team. You will support organisational delivery in key service areas, managing budgets and forecasts in partnership with a number of key stakeholders. Your duties include (though are not limited to) the following:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring submissions are made accurately and in a timely manner
- Assisting budget holders in the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets
- Producing key financial analysis on the authority's income streams and budget submissions
- Prepare relevant financial reports for senior management team members
The client is looking for a candidate with previous experience in or a good working knowledge of local authority finances. CCAB qualified or equivalent is desirable - previous experience in management accounts production and business partnering with non-finance stakeholders is key.
They are looking to offer an initial term of 6 months with a possibility to extend thereafter. Flexi-working options will are available.
