IT Contract Manager – Contract Opportunity

Goodman Masson are currently working with an esteemed NHS organisation in London seeking an IT Contract Manager

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining a comprehensive database of all contracts, ensuring that they meet procurement, financial and regulatory requirements
  • Establishing effective relationships with information asset owners (business leads for contracts) to ensure contracts are renewed or retired promptly within the terms and conditions and established governance process
  • Complying with the Trust’s standing orders and standing financial instructions in all matters
  • Proactively setting up and leading contract / service review meetings
  • Identifying a pipeline of procurement activity and ensuring that a plan is developed in collaboration with the procurement and finance teams, senior management and information asset owners
  • Producing regular reports for senior management on contractual status including potential risks and remedial actions
  • Supporting the Trust’s DSPT (data security and protection toolkit) compliance activities
  • Monitoring budget reports, ensuring contractual spend is within financial envelope and in line with agreed Terms and Conditions
  • Supporting cost improvement activities to help deliver value for money
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts to make sure they comply with applicable laws
  • Working with senior managers to advise, guide and support them in identifying cost-saving opportunities

Ideal Skills & Requirements

  • Experience of contractual procurement frameworks within public sector
  • Experience of developing service schedules and specifications
  • Experience of developing contract summaries and performance reports
  • Detailed understanding of contractual mandatory requirements e.g. those set out within NHS Digital’s Data Security and Protection Toolkit
  • Experience in leading complex contractual negotiations
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of confidentiality, the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations
  • Ability to work with 3rd party suppliers and build effective working relationships

Duration: Initial 3 months (possible extension to 6 months)

Location: London – 3 days onsite

Rate: £450 outside IR35
