A London based Banking conglomerate is looking for an IT Programme Director (Director level role) to work alongside their Chief Technology Officer and set / manage the Portfolio of Change across their Technology division.
The Programme Director will set the organisational strategy and govern the direction and conduct of programme management (including the application of appropriate methodologies) in addition to planning, directing and coordinating activities to manage and implement complex programmes of work from proposal to full integration with Business As Usual. They will operate at an executive level and engage / influence a wide range of stakeholders (internal and external) including global, regional and country CEO, COO and CIOs. You will be responsible for a number of direct and indirect reports which will include Senior Programme and Project Management professionals, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Architects and IT COOs. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Driving the strategy and shape of programme approach
- Driving programme delivery
- Lead the definition of staffing and responsibilities
- Lead the establishment of programme governance
- Report progress, issues, dependencies and risk to the steering committees
To apply for this role, you must have strong experience of working in technology and delivering large scale, high profile programmes with IT budgets over $20m. You will have experience of working within Tier 1 banking organisations and have experience with front to back systems (UX, UI, Front end development and APIs interfacing to more legacy based back end host systems) and experience in working with cloud-based technology and solutions (including GCP, Azure and AWS). You will likely have a strong background in the delivery of digital programmes and have both IT capabilities as well as the programme delivery experience.
